About the event
Built on the proven ability to grow outstanding grapes, almost 30 years ago Saint Clair's owners decided to take the final step to showcase the fabulous fruit they were growing by producing their own wine.
The Marlborough-based winery, which continues to be owned and managed by the Ibbotson family, had immediate success. Medals and trophies have accumulated since their first vintage in 1994 when every wine was recognised. In the last 10 years Saint Clair Family Estate have cemented their strong reputation, consistently achieving top international awards including being named New Zealand Wine Producer and New Zealand Winery of the year titles multiple times, and twice earning the title of New World Producer of the Year.
Founders Neal and Judy Ibbotson set out on a mission to create world-class wines that exceed their customers’ every expectation. With the combination of Neal’s extensive viticultural expertise, the unique mix of Marlborough’s climate and soils, and the talent of one of New Zealand’s leading winemaking teams - Saint Clair has clearly achieved this mission in every glass.
At Oscar's winemaker dinner senior winemaker Kyle Thompson will take guests through a guided tour of Saint Clair, with stories and anecdotes adding to the experience of the wine paired dinner.
Tickets are strictly limited and selling fast. Seating is in group tables of eight. Evening includes initial wine, followed by four course wine-matched dinner $129/head.
